Introduction Introduction Jack Petree is a freelance writer with something in the range of 2-3000 articles published in trade and consumer magazines, a few published short stories, four published books (including Dangerous Game, a work of suspense fiction available at Amazon) two published under the Petree name and two ghost written for others) as well as numerous other works including a number of “white papers” on growth and growth management issues. Jack's second sale was a piece on the renowned Mt. Baker Marathon carried in Sports Illustrated. Sales to Mike Shayne Mystery Magazine, Espionage Magazine and other publications followed. A graduate of Western Washington University with a major in history and time spent as a teaching assistant for a renowned professor of Northwest History, Keith Murray, Petree’s writing career has focused on explaining complex issues to businessmen and women. Jack Petree has also researched and written articles and other material placed in venues as diverse as Paul Harvey’s “Rest of the Story,” Sports Illustrated, the American Planning Association’s Practicing Planner, Compressed Air and Duke University’s “Environmental History.
