| Introduction | Austin and I met in college at Kansas State University. We both attended a campus ministry called Ichthus and there were introduced around March of 2004. We were close friends until he finally decided to ask me to be his girlfriend in October 2004. We fell in love and were married August 5th, 2006. After college we moved to a big city, secured real jobs, brought home a chocolate lab (Choxie), and purchased our first house. Our next hope was to start a family. This is our story about our bumpy road to starting a family. We lost our firstborn son, Jake, only hours after he was born. I have learned that God is present always, even in the mess.
