| Introduction | X-Education Specialist at a Mental Health Association, later starting a large adult education program in three counties to help adults complete a high school diploma. Taught in a Federal men's prison and two colleges (Language Arts). Taught LA in two Public Schools. Case manager in Disabilities field and in Mental Health field. Started a nonprofit to feed the hungry and provide educational services. Started and built a rural library (Lighthouse Library) that housed 23,000 books. Closed it and gave all the books away to various nonprofits. Started a thrift store (Treasure Chest). Closed it and donated contents. Purchased a small chapel (Hicks Chapel) and ran it for five years as a Baptist Church - during Covid and beyond. Sold it and donated the funds to area churches. Donated contents to area churches and nonprofits. Moved 17 times during spouse's military travels, living from California to North Carolina and Kansas. Live on a ranch. Traded our cattle herd in for goats. |
