Introduction | I trained for and completed my first triathlon in July 2011. After nearly 15 years as an out-of-shape mom of two, this was just the kind of goal that appealed to my Type A personality. When my dear husband suggested there was no way I could do this, I went right out and bought two books on triathlon training and dug into the "Just a Slice Above a Couch Potato" training plan. I built up some fitness and finished my first triathlon! It wasn't very pretty, but it was a goal achieved and now I want MORE! In the meantime, I was laid off Oct 2010 and have been building my own consulting business as a stormwater engineer. Lots to juggle along with raising two great kids and trying find the energy (mental and physical) to "climb those hills"! |
