About me

GenderMale
OccupationAdult Ed - History
LocationColumbia, Maine
IntroductionI'm originally from Old Town, Maine, (famous for canoes). I received an AS Forest Mgt Technology in 1982. I spent the next 9 years as a forest technician for James Sewall Co. I consider those, perhaps, the best years of my life; woods, waters, mountains, and lots of characters to deal with. I entered the ministry, receiving ministerial training at Faith School of Theology. It was there I met my soul mate for life, Darcy, and we were married in 1992. Together we ministered in a number of churches in Maine. In Jackman we ran a motel (1994-2000) and have fond memories of the snowmobilers, and summer tourists. I received a BCA, Ed./Behavioral Science from U. of Maine at Machias in 2006. It was time for another change; in education. I had been subbing for the local school district, and found a niche I really enjoyed. After 2 years of applications, interviews (bogus) and Praxis exams, I received a Maine teacher's certificate. I’m less than a year away from receiving my Med in Heritage Studies from PSU.:) Now, I teach US History for Adult Ed at Narraguagus High School, Harrington, Maine. Not as glamorous, or prosperous as some, but it's a learning experience.
