| Introduction | I am an independant film maker working on my second film about Amanda Monroe who has used Drag performance as a pathway toward change and transformation. Through Drag performance she has learned to live life as a trans woman and along the way she has teamed up with the Amazing Jessica James, the Lovely Linda Lamont and the Striking Kris Del Vase. Together this talented troupe of Drag Queens are known as Drags Aloud. Over the last 10 years they have taken their style of Drag Performance onto the world festival stage. The Sound of Music Drag Show, The Greased Lighting Drag Show, The Great Australian Drag Show and now Drags Aloud at the Movies have entertained audiences across Australia, Edinburgh, London and New York. Makeup and Misconceptions (working title) is a documentary in production about the talented and dedicated members of Drags Aloud and their amazing journey thus far. |
