Introduction	I am a writer, a teacher, and an optimist. These are probably the things that define me most. I like to smile, to have fun, to enjoy the sunshine, to hang out with good friends. There is nothing better than a good conversation, grilling on the beach, being captivated by a book, traveling, writing something clear and true, having strong relationships with family and friends, a nice bottle of wine or beer, and music that makes me feel good. I want to live to enjoy each moment with all five of my senses.
Interests	If I didn't have to work and could live my life however I wanted, I would spend my time writing, reading, dancing, traveling, learning new languages, spending time with friends and family, taking all kinds of classes - photography, art, music, etc. I'm an artisic soul trapped in a pratical mind.
Favorite Movies	Although I have a soft spot for the mindless joy of romantic comedies, it's the movies that make me think that are the most gripping.
Favorite Music	Depending on my mood, I can get into just about any kind of music. At present, I'm really into singer/songwriter types and fun/lighthearted music. Some of my favorites include: Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, Steve Poltz, G. Love, Tori Amos, etc.
Favorite Books	I love to read, but here are a few of my favorites: East of Eden, Old Man and the Sea, Wise Blood, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Effects of Light. Some of my favorite poets include: Gwendolyn Brooks, Richard Blanco, Denis Johnson, Sandra Alcosser, Dorianne Laux, Glover Davis, Kim Addonizio, Marilyn Chin, ee cummings, Sandra Cisneros, and more.
