He has also been awarded an Environmental Education teaching award, and is one of only 20 teachers nationwide, to be featured in the American Association for the Advancement of Science book "Exploring the Place of Exemplary Science Teaching". He was awarded a New Hampshire House of Representatives Proclamation for Excellence in Science Teaching. Additionally, he was awarded a commendation, personally presented by Governor Jeanne Shaheen for development of Westmoreland Weather Team web page and the student Weather Team activity as an example of excellence in science teaching. In addition to his science and engineering teaching positions, Don Davis has been a technology magnet school curriculum specialist and has taught graduate and undergraduate college courses in science methods, computers in the classroom, engineering challenges in the classroom, robotics, photovoltaics, solar thermal, green architectural design, climatology and meteorology. |
