Introduction	Steven Williams is a 34 year veteran in the electronics industry, having gained prominence and recognition as an industry authority on manufacturing and management over the course of his career. In his current position of CEC Commodity Manager for Plexus Corp (Neenah, WI), he is responsible for strategic materials management and tactical support of the custom engineered component supply base. Prior to joining Plexus, Steven spent 22 years in senior management positions in the PCB fabrication industry. He holds a BA in Organizational Management from Concordia University and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University. Steven is a distinguished faculty member at several Universities, teaching both graduate and undergraduate business courses, and has developed his own course curriculum on Lean Sigma for the MBA program. Steven’s column, “View from the Middle” appears in the international trade magazine CircuiTree, and co-authors the online audio column “CrossTalk” for PCB007. Steve is also the author of the book Survival Is Not Mandatory: 10 Things Every CEO Should Know About Lean - www.survivalisnotmandatory.com, and resides in Wisconsin with his wife and family.
