| Introduction | We are student artists from the School of the Art Institute working with a small group of other students and alumni on a project in Homan Square. This project aims to gather stories from all walks of life from the community: children and parents; community leaders; long time residents; and recent transplants. We will be setting up “story-share” booths at local festivals and events, as well as conducting scheduled one-on-one interviews. Once collected, we will display these stories for all to enjoy and make them permanently available as a record of the community’s oral history. Additionally, we plan to listen to these stories in order to gauge interest in potential arts programming that will take place in Homan Square Tower beginning in fall of 2015.
