| Introduction | Following college, I decided to spend a whimsical summer on a largely abandoned, rustic, century-old farm in a beautiful and decidedly rural area. It was located 4 hours away from The Big City that had been my lifelong home. Seventeen years, 1 husband, 5 children, 1 endless renovation, 4 cats, 3 dogs, 3 head of cattle, 4 horses, 3 ponies, 25 chickens, 2 ducks, 1 rabbit, and countless honeybees later, I am still on that farm.
