| Introduction | We C.D.'d for 5 months when our 1st was born. Since we didn't have a washer/dryer in our home we were gratefully gifted C.D. Service from Grandma. The process was easy with the covers & prefolds they provided. But I didn't have to worry about laundering. After the gift period ran out, we found the service to be MUCH more expensive than disposables. When baby was 20 months, we moved and got a washer/dryer. My dear sis-in-law gave us her stash of covers & prefolds and we began again! As I acquainted myself with laundering and fitting our system to my 33lb toddler, I began to experiment with diaper sewing. I didn’t like how the prefolds were too small to snappi on my chubbster so I started creating contours & fitteds. Finally I got some P.U.L. and went at it making AIOs. When I was finished with my first one, I told baby she had a new "Cozy Diaper." Then whenever she got into one of those softies she'd say "OOh, COZY." Hence, B.C. Fleecy was born. DD1 is out of dipes now but we added baby sister to our family in April '10 and I will C.D. her all the way! She is a cute little diaper guinea pig! |
