About me

IntroductionHi, I’m Devrie. I’m basically running a long-term science experiment on myself — testing how gut health, cravings, and daily habits collide — and sharing the play-by-play. Think of it as an anti-diet blog with fewer rules and more weird food combos (yes, I have eaten zucchini with kimchi and called it a snack). I write about food choices that actually last, the sneaky science of why our bodies fight change like stubborn toddlers, and how small rituals (like my green tea reset) can quiet the chaos. And because food photos usually look like beige mush, I make ridiculous Canva image experiments instead — part Lisa Frank, part microbiome fan art. They match my style of cooking: slightly chaotic, strangely colorful, and unexpectedly satisfying. This isn’t about chasing a “goal weight.” It’s about outsmarting the food environment we live in, feeding the little microbes that run the show inside us, and finding meals you actually want to keep eating. If you’re tired of calorie-counting apps, diet cults, or food guilt — but you’re open to fiber, ferments, and the occasional culinary mishap — welcome. You’re in the right place.
