| Introduction | I'm a mut when it comes to the question, "Where are you from?" I was born in Wilmington, DE and lived in WV, MO and eventually SC before going to college in Richmond, VA. I consider home to be Charleston, SC or the Philadelphia area. I graduated from the University of Richmond in 2006 and hold a BA in English and French. I teach both subjects at a small, private school in Northern Virignia and am currently pursuing my Masters in English Literature at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. I have a 3 year old Weimaraner, Jackson, who is pretty much like my son. I organize a Meetup group on meetup.com and am obssessed with traveling. I've been to probably over 10 countries (some more than once) and plan a trip abroad every year. I love to read, hike (with my dog), spend time with family and friends and volunteer. My biggest passion when it comes to service is raising money for cancer research. I've participated in 3 Breast Cancer 3Days and 1 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer among smaller walks. I would consider myself very independent, strong-willed, witty/sarcastic and thoughtful. |
