Introduction Four weeks after the birth of my youngest son, I was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer. After visiting many oncologists and getting numerous scans and a colonoscopy the treatment recommendation did not feel right. It did not take into account that my immune system was suppressed and that I might not want to do damage to the rest of my body in the effort to get rid of the cancer. Many appointments, no peace about the treatment plan, and the suggestion of my brother-in-law, spurred me to do research and find Oasis of Hope Hospital. The hospital seeks to do no harm to the patients while using the latest researched techniques in treating cancer. They use both conventional treatment and nutritional supplements to work together to hit the cancer and protect the healthy cells as much as possible. They also work to boost the immune system to help the body fight the cancer more effectively. They follow up with the patients for five years. This blog is about my cancer fighting journey and what I learn along the way. I hope it will be helpful to others, as well. May God bless in the journey.
