| Introduction | I am passionate about reading, writing, mathematics, and literacy across the content areas. I provide custom professional development in reading, writing, math, and stereotype threat for K-12 educators. I have a PhD in Education Leadership from Eastern Michigan University. My scholarly interests include education policy, teacher evaluation, teacher preparation, cognitive coaching as a formative approach for increasing learner capacity, job-embedded professional development. I am learning to play the fiddle, old-timey style. It helps me to remember what learning is like for my students and keeps me humble. My husband Dave, is a professor in the Department of Mathematics at GVSU. I have 3 adult children, Hilary, her husband Joshua, John, and Andrew. |
