| Introduction | My family is the most important thing in my life. I found out after my first son was born that I am quite rare. I have Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy 2B (Miyoshi MD). We had a daughter 21m after our son and then we were given a surprise miracle baby in 2011 (FYI, some antibiotics and BC don't mix well). It was a wonderful gift as we had wanted another child but couldn't justify the choice with my MD. At 16 weeks pregnant I awoke to gushes of blood. Rushing to the ER at 5 am, our 2 children in tow, we were told we had miscarried our babe. Imagine our shock and surprise when we went for the followup appointment with my regular OB/GYN a week later and discovered a healthy, alive babe. Our little Mason continues to bring joy and love into our family. Though things can be tough we are blessed with great friends and family to support and help out when needed. On the one hand MD makes life that much more challenging, and on the other I am very aware of my many blessings and take very little for granted. I see the lessons for good my children are learning and we look for the sunbeams and rainbows in the storms of life. |
| Interests | My family, good books/movies, essential oils, natural remedies, homemade soaps and crafts, beading etc |
| Favorite movies | Most any romantic comedy. Give me a happy ending and and I am happy.I like action/adventure/fantasy/sci-fi as long as its not too gruesome or explicit and of course, has a happy ending. Really enjoy my movies, if one is on I haven't seen...SHHH |
| Favorite music | I lean towards "soft rock" (funny but ten years ago that was alternative) but its a song here and there more then a type or artist |
| Favorite books | Working my way through Tisserand's Essential Oil Safety. Mysteries are always good. I enjoy the fantasy. Yes I enjoyed the Twilight Series (books not movies so much) but The Host was better. the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodall. I guess my books are as varied as my movies LOL |
