Introduction Candy Cotter-Krause is a former high school English, debate, media and film instructor who lives in southwest suburban Chicago. Her days as a director and choreographer for student performances explain her flair for the dramatic. She is married and has three grown children who served as guinea pigs for all her culinary adventures. Her desire to create a comforting yet stimulating environment for her children spurred her domestic creativity. Her children continue to inspire her today. She retired from teaching to serve as a full time mom, which allowed her creative juices to flow. A self-taught sometimes gourmet cook, decent baker and student of fine dining, Candy loves throwing impromptu gatherings as well as elegant soirees. Candy Dish-es includes a myriad of topics such as: recipes, tablescapes, party planning tips, home décor ideas, restaurant critiques, etc. Candy hopes to share ideas garnered from a wide variety of home making experiences. She believes that the art of living well is for everyone regardless of income. We all can live well. Good taste can’t be bought but it can be cultivated. Welcome and enjoy!
