| Introduction | I am originally from the Syracuse area and received my Bachelor's degree in English and African Studies from a small college in the Rochester area. While in college I studied abroad at the University of Ghana at Legon. As a student in Ghana, I had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout West Africa. I began my teaching career in Washington, DC where I taught for three years before returning to the Syracuse area. Since joining the Syracuse City School District, I have taught middle school English at both Beard Alternative School and Danforth Middle School. I obtained my Master's degree in Adolescent Education at LeMoyne College and I would like to eventually obtain my PhD in English Education from Syracuse University. |
