Introduction	I work in a public park as a ranger technician, and this blog is about the bat stuff that I observe here in Virginia. My bat enthusiasm is generated by my past work experience with bats. While in college and right after graduation, I worked in the Pacific NW and the SW deserts on acoustic surveys, mist netting, and mine surveys for bats. I hope to keep learning about and hopefully help spread a more healthy respect for these amazing creatures.
