| Introduction | Life is pretty interesting as a single mother raising a son. My job takes me many places around the country, but my dream is to someday travel to St. Petersburg, Russia. However, Alaska is a spectacular second (or first, as my son yells). Life can get pretty messy sometimes, but I choose to deal with things and truly LIVE! Both myself and my son are writers of various influences, but my favorite genre for novels is fantasy. The Tsarist period of Russia, particularly Catherine-the-Great, is what first whetted my appetite and love of history. For the last several years, WWII has taken a great deal of my study - sad and horrible time. But we can't let the past dictate the future, and a wonderful future it will be. |

| Favorite movies | Crazy, I know, but I absolutely enjoyed "Transformers" last year, particularly Steve Jablonsky's orchestral soundtrack. An older movie pleasure would also have to be "Shining Through", set during WWII. I always wanted to be a spy! Lord of the Rings is now an alltime favorite book AND movie series. |
| Favorite music | Absolutely ANYTHING Hans Zimmer. His collaboration with James Newton Howard for "Batman Begins" was truly a measure of brilliance, mixing haunting melodies with heart-pounding rhythms. Steve Jablonsky reminds me somewhat of an up-and-coming HZ. Oh, and Skillet. |
| Favorite books | Can I say "Jane Eyre"? Yes, my guilty pleasure, even though I'm not into romance novels. LOTR! I'm a huge lover of the classics and history. |
