| Introduction | After almost twenty years of researching my family history I returned to school and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2008 and a Master of Arts in History in 2011. Our ancestors did not live in a vacuum, and the study of local, national and world history enriches genealogical research,helping to flesh out the bare bones of a pedigree.
