Introduction	I spent 22 years in the military. I did not become a Police Officer until the age of 49. I retired from the Honolulu Police Department in 1999. While there I worked in patrol, traffic as a motor officer and Community Relation. In Aug 1994 I was involved in a traffic shot shoot out where I was hit eight times with an AK47. While I was always aware of officer safety, my incident brought it to a clear picture. In this blog I will pass along Police Officer safety tip. If it only helps one officer survive it has served it's purpose.
