| Introduction | Sarah Iremonger is a political conceptual visual artist who uses an interdisciplinary approach to making art work. Iremonger is also a curator and is based in County Cork, Ireland, working and exhibiting nationally and internationally. Iremonger studied Fine Art at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin 1983-85, The Crawford College of Art and Design in Cork 1985-87 and has an MA in European Fine Art from The Winchester School of Art 1997-98. Iremonger was Artist in Resident at the Sydney Olympic Park and Broken Hill Art Exchange, Australia in May 2011 and a Von Hess Resident at the Borowsky Centre, The University of The Arts, Philadelphia USA and was also visiting artist to UARTS in March 2010. Iremonger exhibited I though I dreamed of you at the West Cork Arts Centre in 2009-10, at Gallery 817, UARTS, Philadelphia and at the Yarra Sculpture Space, Melbourne in 2010. Iremonger has also exhibited her work The Hunting Box Party in Hochstitze (Raised Hides) at the Knoll Gallery in Vienna Austria 2010, in Budapest Hungary 2011 and in Buffer Zone at The Armory Gallery in the Sydney Olympic Stadium, Australia in 2011. |
