| Introduction | I am a figure skater/speed skater/student/journalist living, skating, studying, and writing in Lake Placid, New York. This blog was created in 2007 and has grown into an internationally recognized site, with an average of 1,000 visits each month. From Indiana to India, Russia to Rhode Island, my blog is a consistent source of information for people interested in newsworthy skating events in Lake Placid. In 2008, I started writing for the Lake Placid News/Adk Daily Enterprise and am now the skating correspondent. My online column with the News is "Skating Away in Lake Placid"; I also contribute to the Adirondack Almanack blog, Free George online magazine, and "Skating" Magazine. In addition to skating, I am passionate about writing and acting. I have earned an Associates Degree in Sports and Events Management from North Country Community College. I am proud to serve my sport of figure skating as an official, as I am a regional level accountant for US Figure Skating. LPS has been recognized by publications such as "Skating" magazine and "Shape" magazine. |
