Introduction Iza Moreau was born in Idaho and migrated to the South by way of New Mexico. A degree in journalism from a university in London instilled in her a desire to write, but after stints with a couple of small newspapers, she decided to put her creative energies into fiction. She currently works at a fairly uninteresting job with the state, but one that allows her to do some of the things she loves in her spare time. She lives on a farm with books and horses.

Iza is the author of the popular Small Town Series of lesbian mystery novels, which include The News in Small Towns, Madness in Small Towns, and Secrets in Small Towns.

Swamp Girl, her first novel for Young Adults, was the winner of the Rainbow Award for Best Lesbian Young Adult novel of 2018.

The first novel in her Elodie Fontaine Mysteries series won the Lesfic Bard Award for best lesbian young adult novel of 2019. The second novel in the Elodie series, Ghost in the Piano, won the Rainbow Award for Best Lesbian Young Adult novel of 2019.

In addition, Izzy is a Golden Crown Literary Award Finalist and a 10-time Next Generation Indie Book Award Finalist.
