| Introduction | My identity is a daughter of the most high God. My roles in this life are wife, mother, friend, daughter, sister, storyteller, baker, culinary seeker, coffee drinker, etc. |
| Interests | knowing God more fully and yearning/desiring to love Jesus above all, my husband & daughter, family & friends, going on walks, drinking good coffee, eating yummy food, cooking & baking with fresh ingredients (I love baking regardless), going to Joe's Garden or Farmer's Markets to check out fresh produce & fruit, storytelling, drinking wine when I can (haven't been able to enjoy this due to pregnancy & nursing), going on drives, gardening, hospitality, making cards & being domestic |
| Favorite Movies | Hmmm...I admit it--I love some girl movies, like BBC's Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, Ever After, 10 Things I Hate about you, Chicago, Never Been Kissed, Anne of Green Gables, Little Women, 13 going on 30. I will forever be a Goonie. I also enjoy Shawshank Redemption, Big Fish, Billy Elliott, Dumb & Dumber, Parent Trap, D.P.S.--there are tons. |
| Favorite Music | I really enjoy female bands/vocalist, to name a few: Joni Mitchell, Eva Cassidy, Ella Fitzgerald, Norah Jones. I also like Waterdeep (men/women band). Sufjan Stevens is wonderful, Jack Johnson, The Beatles, Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Harper, Pedro the Lion, The Pale Pacific, I like the ska I listened to in high school & early college years. I like it when there is instrumental diversity, exceptional musical ability, lyrics which make you ponder, and clear evidence of vocal prowess. |
| Favorite Books | I love to read, even though I don't do it very fast, b/c when I do read a book I get lost in it. It's as though I become the characters. Two books that made me weep deep sobs were J.R.R. Tolkien's The Return of the King & J.K. Rowlings' Harry Potter Half-Blood Prince. It's great when you can get a good cry out, b/c you feel the depth of humanity in the characters. I also loved Peace Like a River. I thoroughly enjoy storytelling & personally enjoy books by Steven James. Rob Bell's books: Sex.God., Velvet Elvis. Blue Like Jazz. I love fantasy books. |
