| Introduction | Author practices anaesthesia for livelihood. For living, he reads, listens to music, travels, treks the Himalayas, cycles city roads, and drinks coffee. He served for a little over quarter of a century in Indian Air Force and now works in the private healthcare sector. He is an obligate reader. Books are to him as is heroin to an opium addict. He reads a wide genre, but is an aficionado of science books. His profession not only affords him the necessities of life but also leisure to court deep thoughts that his reading spurs. Of late, he has enjoyed penning these ideas and some run-of-the-mill experiences of life which in hindsight seem essential in carving a human personality.
