IntroductionDon't hate me for using my profile from my Work website, but it made me sound so good it was hard to believe this was me....... After sixteen years in visual merchandising, retail display and design, he has joined the staff of Oviatt- Pratt and Associates. With expert skills in decorative accessories, visual elements, interior and exterior design and organization, he is an invaluable part of the team. If you ask him, he’d say his first love is historical design and rendering. Since his first art class in grade school, Derek has been interested in different historical periods of design, and is especially excited to work on projects that reflect that history. His broad background in detailing residences and conducting visual presentations has been further developed by several years of working on Parade of Homes events. Derek has developed a singular approach to organizing interiors and finishing each project with beauty and a unmatched attention to detail. Derek graduated from the Davis Applied Technology college and brings experience in CAD, merchandising, landscaping and graphic design. He won a AIA Design Competition.
