| Introduction | On January 5, 2001, my eighteen-year-old daughter Timora died of leukemia, after a six-year struggle. I've written a memoir, And Twice the Marrow of Her Bones, telling of her struggle to lead a normal life during her illness, and of my own journey with, then without her.
