| Introduction | Eric Velado was born and raised in El Salvador. He first visited California in 1984 with his parents and brothers. Eric saw Jacky for the first time. Next year Eric returned to L.A. on vacation and kept in touch with Jacky. He was 12 years old. A few years later... in 2001 Eric returned to California for the 3rd time just to photograph his cousin's Quinceañera and went to Brooks Institute of Photography to study some workshops. Eric and Jacky hooked up in Santa Barbara. Unexpectedly, LIFE CHANGED... In 2002, Eric studied Contemporary Wedding Photography in San Diego. He photographed his first 2 weddings in Las Vegas. A year later in 2003, Eric moved to Los Angeles and they decided to get married by the Church the next year but had to wait an extra year. Now they have 3 beautiful kids. From 1985-2001, they never saw each other again, Jacky moved to Egypt and Bahrain for a couple of years. During those years, internet didn't exist but they kept in touch by mail, letters and postcards. They still keep those memories 'till now. They had been living in Los Angeles, San Salvador, Antigua Guatemala and now Houston. You know his love story, what's yours? |
