| Introduction | I started a small business in 1989, not really thinking too far into the future about where I wanted to go with it. My main desire was to spend time with my children, so I needed a home based business. It turned out to be a very successful business. Salsa became very popular in the late 80's and continues to this date and so on. In 2006 I turned the business over to my son Ben, who ran it for two years very successfully. By this time, my daughter Rebekah was 14, and she also had grown up learning the business. The growth was phenomenal, and my little business grew in proportion to our city's growth. Ben expanded the business to include the cities of Salem and Eugene and tripled the sales. He successfully sold the business this month (9/08) and is leaving for pilot school in Florida. His goal: Commercial Pilot. Rebekah continues to work with the new owners, thus Ohana continues. |
