| Introduction | is what my patients prefer to call me (to my face, at least). I am a psychologist, who specializes in the treatment of trauma and substance abuse and crimes related to mental illness. My Ph.D. work focused on forensic psychology, particularly the prediction of sexual violence, so I do some consulting work related to that. Since I get my share of the serious and stressful at work - which is still quite rewarding - I decided to find an outlet where I can be silly, funny (hopefully), irreverant, and open. Since you can take the girl out of psychology, but you can't take the psychology out of the girl - you know that old saying - I figured that there would still be a fair amount of psychobabble in my posts. Hence the name... Lady Psy. |
