Introduction	Mom to three boys, I am concerned with education in my community and beyond. Presently, I serve on the Cumberland School Committee and chair the Achievement subcommittee. Prompted to get involved in 2005 when test scores were declining and our High School was put on warning status by the NEAS&C- in short: the high school was a dump and it was unclear anything was improving in the district. With bond funded facilities improvements, added technology, program improvements, and with the recent hire of our progressive Superintendent, the district is now well-positioned to make aggressive, research-based improvements that will raise the achievement for all students.
