Introduction	I am currently working in Afghanistan for the American Red Cross as an Assistant Station Manager. This is my fourth assignment in the Middle East which will run from mid-April 2013 to mid-September, 2013. The first time, I deployed to Baghdad on the 4th of July 2008 and finished my tour in mid-November, and the second time was on St Patricks Day to Tikrit for 4 months. I was previously in Afghanistan from March-July 2011. I work emergency communications, visit hospitals, distribute American Red Cross supplies and donations and honestly, just try to make people smile. I will try to do a combination of personal experiences and updates as well as commentaries on living in such an extreme environment.
