| Introduction | I chose Making Strides Against Breast Cancer for several reasons; first, it is an opportunity to honor breast cancer survivors; second, it is an opportunity to educate women about breast cancer prevention and the importance of early detection; finally, it is an opportunity to raise funds so that, someday soon, we’ll all see the day when no one will have to hear the words “You have breast cancer” ever again. I’ve been a Volkswagen enthusiast for some time now and feel this show is a great way to combine these two aspects of my life. My hope is that, by supporting Making Strides, I am helping the American Cancer Society seek better ways to prevent, detect, and treat breast cancer, as well as provide help and hope to people facing the disease. |
