| Introduction | Books are my passion. If it is related to a book, my interest are peeked. My hours are spent writing, reading, and inspiring others to do so. With the creation of The Bibliomaniac and The African American Book Review, two blogs that are dedicated to the Writer, Reader, and Reviewer of Books, I hope to enlighten others about the many good books available to read. As other books sites come to be created, my interest will remain with books, but branch off into showcasing them by using a diverse method, and I invite you to come along with me for a good read. |

| Favorite movies | My favorite movies are the movies that are made from books. I prefer to read the book first and then watch the movie to see if the movie meets my expectations, so far one of the few that have is The Color Purple. I could watch this movie and never get tired of it. |
| Favorite music | Like many of you I listen to various types of music, sometimes when I am reading I like to have on something softly playing in the background like Classical, or Jazz music, other times I like complete silence when I read. The only type of music that I listen to daily is Gospel. The Southern Gospel style with songs that I heard in Church is one of my favorites. While running out to do errands, I listen to whatever the radio plays which is usually Pop music, Golden Oldies, Soul Music, and a bit of Rap. I suppose you could say that overall I have an appreciation for music and the Artist that makes it as I consider it to be a form of expression. |
| Favorite books | I read a lot of different types of books, and as I said earlier I love books. I've always been drawn to them, love the scent of books, the sound of opening a book, the feel of a book in my hand, and the first chapter of a good book. One of my favorite moments of the day comes when I get to sit down with a book in my hand. It's as comforting as a day at the beach, and revises me to have read a book. I read a lot, and have been told that I am never without a book. Thank God for that--as I now use every type of electronic device to carry books with me. I use an Iphone and have books downloaded on it, and have a Kindle that I don't like to leave at home either. As for the type of books, I read everything from fiction, mystery, to biographies, and if it's a new Author, I am intriqued to read it. My favorite books are those that are well written, and have covers that depict the story within the book. I cannot recall a time in my life that a book didn't make a difference, and that's why I keep them close by, they are my best friends. |
