Introduction	I was born in the "boondocks" near Keota, Oklahoma, that's about 120 miles or so SE of Muskogee, just about 18-20 miles or so west of Ft. Smith, Arkansas. My family moved to California when I was about 5 years old and settled in the small town of Chowchilla, in the agricultural area of the San Joaquin Valley. I was the 4th in a family of 9 children. I quit high school at age 16, enlisted in the Navy on my 17th birthday. I went from boot camp to the Navy's Basic Submarine School and served my 20 years on various submarines in Key West, FL, New London, CT and San Diego, CA. When I retired, I finished my education, eventually getting a Masters Degree at Trinity University, San Antonio, TX. The LOVE OF MY LIFE is my wife, Belinda, who I met and married in San Antonio. How she has managed to put up with me for all these years is totally a mystery to me, but I ain't complainin'!!!
