| Introduction | Hello, I am a mother of two wonderful children! A 16 year old boy Gary and 12 year old daughter Alyssa. I am also a Girlfriend to the best guy ever, Bill (sorry single ladies, the best is taken). In August, Gary was involved in a serious motor vehicle accident which left him paralyzed from the waist down. Through dedication and extreme stubborness he has beat the odds and is now walking without aids. After watching him go through what he has gone through (albeit, he is not fully recovered by no means) it has made me come to the realization that I need to change my life-style so I can be a better example for my children and a better person for ME and Bill! Gary played football and Alyssa is in a sport for every season: soccer, basketball and in the spring plans to play softball! I have two great kids and an AWESOME Boyfriend, who are an inspiration to me and I want to be an inpiration to them as well. Both of my parents have high blood pressure and my mother just became an insulin dependent diabetic - it's in the genes so time to take action. The American Heart Association has given me the opportunity of a life-time and I fully intend to make my life-style change for LIFE!! |
