Introduction	I am definitely getting older every minute and was particularly reminded of it as I became a caregiver to my two wonderful but aging parents. I am excited to write about aging and probably about a million other things as well including life-long interests in good eating, resourcing locally, shopping in mom-and-pop places, reading, gardening, walking, parenting, education, politics, community, genealogy, travel, and eating out, in and everywhere. I've been a researcher, restaurant critic, educational consultant, teacher, travel writer, and best of all-I am a mom. I've had one book published by a major publisher and have self-published another one. I look forward to talking about aging and other subjects with readers of this blog.
Favorite books	I'm rather stuck in 19th century England right now. If you haven't read Elizabeth Gaskell, Wilkie Collins, Anthony Trollope, or George Elliot, don't wait another minute.
