Introduction | Based on the South Coast in the UK, I've been crafting, in one way or another, since I was a small child. I'd turn my hand to most things including the building of stud walls & airing cupboards, laying paving and carpets, building computer work stations as well as the more genteel crafts of cardmaking, cross stitching, knitting, calligraphy and, eventually, scrapbooking - lol! Unfortunately health issues now mean that I have to stick to the more genteel ones and I don't spend as long as I'd like doing any of them due to family commitments, which resulted in me having to take retirement from paid employment at the age of 55. I thought I would be able to spend extra time with family and also have more time for my crafting. How wrong did I get that? The extra time for crafting has yet to materialise. I am also the very proud Mum of 2 sons, Nana to 5 beautiful grandchildren and, since January 2012, (gulp & breathe) Great-Nana to a beautiful little girl. |
