Introduction	A lucky woman with a great family: Hannah (8), John (4), Karl (long-time "knight in shining armour"), Katze (the cat with a fancy name that still just means "cat"), Dinah (the cat with all the hair and an eating disorder), and Luca (our new addition--a Golden Retriever).
Interests	Italian food, Victorian novels, cuddly pets, earrings, Southern authors, Magic Eraser (I have no idea how it works, but every mother should have one), the imaginations of little ones, traveling, and other stuff that I'm sure would make me sound hipper but that I can't think of right now.
Favorite movies	Burnt by the Sun, The Princess Bride, A Month in the Country, Bird Cage, and others.
Favorite music	Anything U2 has ever done or will ever do again, Indigo Girls, Joni Mitchell.
Favorite books	Housekeeping by Marilynn Robinson, Tess of the D'Urbervilles, most Dickens, The Omnivore's Dilemma, the Dr. Sears parenting books (especially the baby book and the family nutrition book), The Bean Trees, A Light in August, Wiseblood, and several mystery series (Dorothy Sayers being my favorite).
