| Introduction | I am a stay at home mom and wife who left the corporate world when we moved from my hometown of Detroit to the country (the far suburbs of Chicago by farms - which seems like the country to me!). I wanted to spend more time taking care of my family (my husband, our 8 year old son, the various international exchange students we host and our border collie). Life has taken a crazy turn in the last few years since I quit my job. I thought I would have so much time on my hands and everything would be organized and perfect in my life and home. I have quickly come to the conclusion that that isn't my reality! Like most women, I am struggling to keep it together and get everything done! My days are filled with being the vice president of the PTO, volunteering with exchange students and breast cancer patients, exercising, cooking dinner and starting a new e-commerce business (Piccolo Designs) from the ground up. Life is not what I imagined it would be and it is super crazy, but life is good! |
