| Introduction | I attended Lamar Univ. where I received my bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication, masters in business administration, and teaching certifications in business and speech. Other certifications include principalship and instructional leadership, appraisal and evaluation. I am currently a high school speech teacher in BISD, and have served as assistant soccer coach, TAKS math remediation instructor, UIL Prose coach, and also UIL storytelling and regional debate judge. I am a elected member of the Campus Education Improvement Committee. My other responsibilities include curriculum design for communication applications and mentoring new teachers. I am also an active member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, where I’ve served as a lector, and motivational speaker for the youth confirmation weekend retreat. I am a lifelong member of both Phi Eta Sigma and Eta Phi Lambda National Honor Societies. I also belong to the Writer’s League of Texas and the Golden Triangle Writers Guild and am an aspiring author. I reside in Southeast Texas with my husband of 10 years, and our two lovely daughters. In my spare time, I love to write and spend time with my family. |
