Introduction "How long have you been evil?" my daughters ask me. "All my life," I say. Actually I wanted to be an actress, and I was, for a while, in my twenties. I'm now a writer, artist, editor, strength and conditioning coach; at some point I was a hypnotherapist, motivational speaker, bodybuilder, rower, and founder of a sweet non-profit. Above all else, I'm a mother of two magnificent daughters. I love the shading of a phrase, how it tilts to the side or bolts upright. I love jagged-edged phrases, waking up in some foreign writing place, and wondering what country I'm in. I get all gaga-eyed when I watch emotions stripped down to their bare-and-nakeds. Phrases are like show girls in a Parisian cafe flouncing their asses, their nipples painted in rouge. I'm wild with cunt and honey when I watch words prance and dance. The world spins around and through me when I write, and I don't know where I'm headed or how wayward my words will turn out. The truth is I don't want to be stict with them, imposing rules and curfews. And If they want to stay out all night and come home bleary-eyed in the morning, I'm just fine with that. Always with love, Janice
