I use Seaward for the blog - a modification of its English form Seward finding it amusing because of a near-drowning episode in 2005, a few years before starting Sidereal Sight's Swedish predecessor, Sideriska siktet. Curiously, my sidereal birth chart had philosophy's significator Jupiter in watery Scorpio in the 6th house of the enemy, bad luck or accidents. The omen seemed to fit Platonism's admonition to keep a watchful eye on the sea or the Irrational Soul with its penchant for falling short of Man's higher destination. An avid Western astrology buff since 1980 until dreaming vividly in 2007 about a conversation with an air hostess. She revealed herself as a Gemini - a Jungian anima figure? Only months later I discovered the Hindu sidereal zodiac which moved my ascending sign (and Moon) from Cancer to Gemini. This made perfect sense and turned me into an immediate convert. |
