Introduction Even though I've reached my thirtieth year, I will always be an "Island kid". It's just one of the things that I love about the Island. But there are many others too...treasured memories of an old boyfriend taking me out on his dad's lobster boat, of nights' spent fishing under the stars, and sitting around a friend's dinner table dipping into a big pot of freshly boiled crabs that were caught the old-fashioned way. The Island has always been a source of spiritual power for me. Not spiritual in the religious sense, but for the deep sense of place and of community that calms and centers me like no where I have ever been. Many of these memories and the ones I continue to weave into my life have carved the path of my current interests and passions. I look forward to many more and to sharing some of them with you.
