Introduction I tend to think my spending an inordinate amount of time day dreaming as a boy had something to do with my becoming an artist. I still day dream, but now I call it 'pondering,' 'thinking,' 'coming up with an idea.' By any other name, it is 'day dreaming.' A lot of my dreams have come true in large part because I have acted on those dreams. Dreams also help me solve problems and help me see. I call it 'visualization.' Discovery excites me and motivates my work. I like finding new ways, methods or techniques. I do not want to ever settle in on one way to do things and not grow. I have a number of diverse skills, honed by the years in graphic design and illustration and I can choose to go in a number of artistic directions. I am driven by a desire to explore. A lot of the satisfaction derived from being an artist is in the journey and the need to create and be creative. If I thought that I could only work in one style or technique from now on, I probably would choose to do something else. Enjoy looking at my art, I enjoy doing it.
