| Introduction | "Sheesha wa Shai" is Arabic for Tea and Sheesha, you could say I moved to Egypt in search of a way to have the combination of these two warm comforts every evening. I graduated from Northwestern University in 2011, and am living and working in Cairo, Egypt. I have a passionate professional interest in story-telling, women's health and medicine; I spend my evenings assisting in a surgical clinic/community health center in a traditional area of Cairo, and my days writing about it. Originally Egyptian, born and raised in Chicago, I am here to share stories, play with street kittens, and eat too much Nutella. |
