Introduction What I am not is of far more interest than what I am, so I'll write about that, instead. I don't have a loft in New York, where I throw wildly-successful parties every night and I don't sit on a fire escape each morning, writing the great American novel. I don't backpack around Europe, living on bread, wine and whatever cheese I can wrangle out of my hosts. I do not travel the world in search of enlightenment, long-lost treasure or David Bowie (oddly enough). I don't rub elbows with great actors, reclusive authors or bohemian artists. I'm not a veterinarian or interior designer. In fact, I'm about as far from what I'd planned for my life as it's possible to be. Still, life is pretty freakin' great! I have a wonderful, talented hussy-band, incredible friends that blow my mind every, single day, and a beautiful little girl who totally changed my life (and my rather crappy opinion of children, in general). I'm very glad I'm not on that New York fire escape... for the most part.
Favorite Movies Pan's Labyrinth, Amelie, the Manchurian Candidate (1962 version), Little Miss Sunshine, Playtime, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Seven Samurai, House of Sand and Fog, Pulp Fiction, Spirited Away, Fight Club, To Kill a Mockingbird, Kill Bill, All About Eve, the Usual Suspects, etc., etc., etc.....
Favorite Music David Bowie (obviously), Siouxsie and the Banshees, Depeche Mode, David Byrne (with or without the other Talking Heads), Jimi Hendrix, Frank Sinatra, Iggy Pop, the Gypsy Kings, Annie Lennox (with or without the other Eurythmics), Nina Simone, the Cure, Jethro Tull, Led Zeppelin, XTC, Cab Calloway, the White Stripes, Mozart, NIN, Pizzicato Five, the Strokes, Bob Marley, King Crimson, the Sex Pistols, Cat Stevens, some Beatles, some Stones, some Ramones, Prokofiev, the majority of the Crow soundtrack and more classical composers and angry, young females than I care to admit.
Favorite Books "To Kill a Mockingbird" so totally rocks! It's about as close to literary perfection as it gets. Everyone should read it once. (Racist jackasses should be required to read it twice. At least. And then perhaps be hit with a big stick.)
